"Night; and once again, the while I wait for you, cold wind turns into rain." Masaoka Shiki
'Form and composition'.
Themes:
Cycle
Movement
Contrast
In this first initial step of designing multiple ways of representing my themes, my goal was to create a design that had true meaning towards the poem itself and have a meaningful description behind what I created.
Cycle:
The poem "Night; and one again" that right there is a cycle, saying I've been here before in this exact same position "wait fo you". And overall the poem is a cycle "once again, while I wait for you, cold wind turns into rain" symbolising that person has been it that same position of where they have been waiting for a specific person and that person doesn't show up worsening the weather through pathetic fallacy, "Pathetic fallacy is a literary device in which human emotions are attributed to aspects of nature, such as the we

ather. For instance, the weather can be used to reflect a person’s mood, with dark clouds or rain representing a scene involving sorrow. It’s a form of personification." Solance, M. O. (2017, 2)
So my idea through cycle was to show that idea of cycle of time and within the time period is conflict, happiness and comfort area.
"The circle is a universal symbol with extensive meaning. It represents the notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, the Self, the infinite, eternity, timelessness, all cyclic movement. It implies an idea of movement, and symbolizes the cycle of time. The circle is also zero in our system of numbering, and symbolizes potential, or the embryo. It has a magical value as a protective agent, and indicates the end of the process of individuation, of striving towards a psychic wholeness and self-realization" (Julien, 71, Circle)
Now with an understanding of cycle was and in depth breakdown of my haiku poem allowing to create a poster whereas Shapes, Hierarchy, positive and negative will represent the cycle of evolution in the Haiku poem.
Movement:
An act of moving, a change or development. Noticing that there is movement within poem "cold wind turns into rain" is simply a change in weather. "Night; and once again, the while I wait for you" is a movement within the mind, as waiting for someone I seeing as you like, out in the cold, you obviously planned to meet up, initial feelings would be somewhere like happiness, love, warmth. Changes into regret, self questioning, worried.

"Movement is an integral part of every function and process within our bodies! Strength and endurance is not just affected by movement but also our thought processes, emotions, understanding and decision making." (Pure Results boot camp. (2019, May 3).
Symbolising movement within the haiku poem examples, would probably be wisdom and becoming a more happier person, so if that means a hexagon slowly transforming into a circle, Hexagon has multiple sharp edges and is hard, Whereas the circle is soft, smooth, magical.
Movement through a tunnel representing conflict, signalling that what ever you're going through movement will bring you out on the other side.
Contrast:
the state of being strikingly different from something else in juxtaposition or close association. Contrast within the poem, "Night and once again, While I wait for you" Contrasting the feelings from one person to another, with the person waiting has a brighter, warmth feeling towards the other whereas dark, cruel represent the other persons feelings.
"Darkness can encompass a primitive chaos, and the powers of that chaos; it is not essentially evil, yet it is largely associated with death and destruction, captivity and spiritual darkness. The gloom which preceded the Fiat Lux traditionally represents the states that give rise to chaos." (JohnWatsonSite) Due to this poem being quite dark, there is always contrast. Why does that person keep going back? Maybe because the light was refilled.

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:5) no ever how large the darkness is there will be always be light whether it be hope or happiness. Darkness can never fully consume all light as there is always something within you that is creating that light.
Examples, The dark box with white circles represents the interior of that person waiting, hoping in a dark area. Whereas contrasting is a dark interior of a person with light exterior.
